“ We had dinner at Number 9 to celebrate my husband's birthday. We were warmly greeted when we arrived and were looked after from the time we arrived until we left. Service was to a high standard and always with a smile - nothing seemed too much even when the restaurant was very busy. The food was outstanding. Restaurant had a lovely friendly atmosphere. It is dog-friendly which makes it feel very homely. ”

“ Up there with one of the best roast dinners I’ve ever paid for- this was something really special! The beef was perfectly cooked, the vegetables were so well seasoned, mashed potatoes (belongs in every roast) and super rich gravy! They are very welcoming and super dog friendly too which is a huge bonus! Can’t recommend Number 9 enough! ”

“ I like this bar come Bistro / restaurant. Been a couple of times on past visits to Kl. Has probably the 2nd best beer garden in the town. I remember real ale on past visits but none today. Had a good Guinness with Flatric. I like the TV series "Inside Number 9." A few years back I sat near the open fire opposite my wife. Slowly my perspective changed. The room moved. The rear right hand chair leg had pushed through a knot in the floorboard and thus I was slowly falling into the fire. Luckily I just about avoided a hot head and saved myself by rolling over. Otherwise I would be the local ghost story. ”

“ Number Nine exceeded our expectations in every way. Firstly, the atmosphere was perfect. The log burner was on and it felt super cosy inside. The staff greeted us with warmth and we're so friendly. They were attentive, personable and professional. We ordered the focaccia and Balsamic oil starter and it was delightful. Hot, soft bread on a hot plate - no complaints. Mains we ordered the game casserole and Cumberland sausage and mash with red onions and port gravy. We ordered two sides - carrots in honey and marmalade and black garlic and parmesan broccoli. The portion size was perfect for both of us and the food was really tasty. The broccoli though, was something else. It was INSANELY good. Seriously incredible! I asked Rachel who served us how it was made and she obliged and told me how I could recreate it at home. Needless to say, I have already tried but I haven't quite got the Number Nine touch! We would highly recommend visiting this beautiful little gem if in Kirkby Lonsdale. We also had the fruit crumble and sticky toffee sponge and both were excellent. Top place and will definitely return! ”

“ What an absolutely fantastic meal. A taste adventure from start to end. We ordered the Sunday roast sharing platter (need to give a week notice) and pay £10 deposit. It has been absolutely delicious and cannot recommend enough we loved it. Lovely atmosphere, fantastic service, friendly, personable and really wanted us to enjoy the food and the experience. Food 11/10 x ”
